Intraoperative 3D Augmented Reality Imaging and Navigation Technology
Spinal disorders have a massive impact on the quality of life and well-being of those affected. In addition, current surgical treatment methods are complex and carry a multitude of risks. Surgeons have to achieve the highest levels of precision and concentration to avoid damaging the fragile neurological and vascular structures during surgery. The use of a new technology based on a minimally invasive approach through intraoperative imaging and navigation now makes it possible to increase clinical accuracy, reduce postoperative pain and decrease injury to adjacent soft tissues.
