Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Good Manufacturing Practice encompasses all measures that are instrumental in ensuring the quality of an active ingredient or drug product during production, control and storage. There are two guidelines to be observed here, one relating to the manufacture of medicinal products and the other to the manufacture of active ingredients. Compliance with GMP principles is monitored by the responsible GMP / GDR inspectorates. If productions do not meet the requirements, they will not receive a manufacturing permit, as the quality safety standards in the various processes cannot be guaranteed.
