DNA

DNA is the abbreviation for Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid and represents the most important molecule in the world. DNA contains the genetic information of all living cells and organisms and thus represents the basis of life.

The molecular structure as well as the chemical make-up are the same, regardless of whether it is a human being, an animal, a bacterium or a plant. Visually, it is a three-dimensional spiral consisting of two long DANN strands that are linked together.  The double helix consists of sugar molecules and bases. Human DNA consists of more than 3 billion bases and is located in the nucleus of each cell.

The hereditary information serves the development of living beings and can be passed on to the next generation. In addition to character, they also influence appearance.
