Medical Robotics

Medical robotics refers to technologically and technically advanced machines and assistance systems that assist physicians in surgical work or perform mechanical procedures themselves. Medical robots are being used more and more frequently in hospitals and rehabilitation centers and are gradually taking on more tasks that make the daily lives of doctors, nurses, and caregivers easier, such as assisting with the administration and dosing of medications and with time-consuming tasks in the laboratory. They also provide support where human physicians reach their limits, such as through fatigue during long operations. The advantages of robotic assistants are shortened operation times, accelerated rehabilitation of patients after operations and high precision in the execution of activities.
